I was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Rosemead, and other than the four years I lived in Davis, I have lived in the San Gabriel Valley my whole life. My husband, David and I purchased our home in Monrovia in 1991. After 17 years here, we decided to open Family Dog and Cat Hospital in Old Town Monrovia in 2009.

When I was 17 years old, I started my first job in a veterinary hospital and eventually became a licensed veterinary technician. I met my husband David in 1983, when we became coworkers at Companion Animal Hospital in Temple City. In addition to working many years in veterinary hospitals, I worked in the clinical laboratory at Centinela Hospital in Inglewood as a Licensed Laboratory Technologist during breaks from veterinary school. I went on to graduate from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California at Davis in 1990.

Before opening Family Dog and Cat Hospital, I practiced in Monrovia for seven years and in Glendale for eleven. My practice is limited to dogs and cats. I enjoy the opportunity to meet your dog and cat friends and nothing makes me happier than to see them doing well.

David and I are happy to be working together in our wonderful community. We have three sons who graduated from Monrovia schools and we are part of the church community at Immaculate Conception parish. We have been fortunate to meet many families and friends in Monrovia and surrounding communities over the past 26 years. We have also had the pleasure of hiring and working with some talented Monrovia High School graduates who have completed or are currently attending college.

Family Dog and Cat Hospital is truly a family business. All three of my sons helped us during the hospital's launch, and all have worked here at different times. Our family also includes two mischievous cats – Saber and Luna, and a freckled dog named Hermione.

David
I have been working in veterinary medicine for forty five years. Now my wife and I have been blessed with the opportunity to have our own hospital and to practice our craft in a way that will define us. I have learned a great deal over the years and know that I must continue to learn in order to provide you and your animal friends with excellent care.

I am a native southern Californian and grew up in East Los Angeles. I attended Cal. Poly Pomona and have been a practicing Registered Veterinary Technician for 26 years. The only life I have ever wanted is the one that I have.

My wife and I chose the name of our hospital to be Family Dog and Cat Hospital because we feel that our pets are a big part of our family. We understand that the way we work with our dog and cat patients affects all family members and that decisions regarding their care must take every family member into consideration.

I have strong background in anesthesia, dentistry, radiology, and animal care. I have always enjoyed teaching others about veterinary medicine. Prior to opening our practice, I worked at Eyecare For Animals, a veterinary ophthalmology specialty hospital. This was an exceptional experience and it taught me to pursue excellence.
